What Can I Expect From a Reflexology Treatment?

After an initial short consultation, you will be asked to lie fully clothed on a treatment couch. You will be asked to remove your shoes & socks and any tight items purely for your own comfort and relaxation.

During a reflexology treatment, gentle but firm pressure is applied to the feet, together with a soothing foot massage to break up crystalline deposits that block the meridian energy flow, which affects the corresponding part of the body or organ. These are known as foot reflexology points or acupressure points.

What Are The Benefits of Foot Reflexology?

Reflexology improves circulation and how your nerves function, cleansing the body of toxins, reducing stress and inducing deep relaxation.  Your whole body system will feel more balanced and you will feel energised and revitalised. Reflexology can also help a number of conditions including insomnia, migraines, headaches, neck pain, upper and lower back pain and may even aid with fertility. 

How Many Reflexology Treatments Will I Need?

You will see an improvement after just one reflexology treatment but, for best results, we recommend between 4 – 6 treatments at weekly intervals allowing the effects of reflexology to build up cumulatively, producing long-term benefits.

As always, I do enjoy my reflexology by Alanna and today was no exception. I had entered the salon with an ache and stiffness in my hip and mentioned this to Alanna. I don't know what 'magic' you have worked on me, but by golly, I truly left the salon feeling tons better, with a spring in my step and with no stiffness or ache that I had when I walked in. This treatment I find is just the ticket for me as Alanna, always works her skills on every part of each foot, paying particular attention to any 'hot spots'. Thank you Alanna so much and I look forward to my next treatment in due course. (I am drinking my water!), 🙂 xx
