Beauty Salon Manager

We are looking to recruit an experienced Beauty Salon Manager to oversee all aspects of daily salon operations, ensuring exceptional client experiences, smooth team performance, and consistent delivery of high-quality beauty and wellness services. This role combines leadership, customer service, business administration, and hands-on support to create a welcoming and efficient salon environment.  Working with the Team Leads and Educator you will be pivotal in ensuring that the business continues to grow and achieve its goals and objectives.

We are well established Beauty Salon in Tyne and Wear, with over 12 therapists.

Key Responsibilities

1. Salon Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day running of the salon, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health and safety and data protection standards.
  • Manage appointment schedules, treatment room allocation, and therapist workload.
  • Perform min 50% treatments and 50% management duties
  • Monitor inventory levels and order products, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all treatments and services are delivered to brand standards.

2. Team Leadership & HR

  • Recruit, train, motivate, and support all therapists
  • Conduct performance reviews and set development goals for team members to ensure continious development
  • Assist with rota planning, holiday management, and attendance.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and professional team culture.

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure every client receives outstanding service from initial enquiry to aftercare.
  • Handle complaints, feedback, and queries professionally.
  • Build strong client relationships and maintain high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Support front-of-house tasks when needed (phone, bookings, meet & greet).

4. Business & Financial Management

  • Meet revenue targets and track KPI performance (bookings, rebooking rates, retail sales).
  • Implement promotions, packages, and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage expenses, stock costs, and any supplier relationships.
  • Prepare simple monthly reports for owner/director if required.

5. Marketing & Brand Development

  • Help plan and execute social media, email campaigns, and seasonal promotions.
  • Maintain consistent visual merchandising and salon presentation.
  • Introduce new treatments, products, and service upgrades.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 Years proven experience in beauty therapy, spa, or salon management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of beauty, skincare, and massage treatments with the experience to step into any treatment when required in order to cover
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with salon booking systems and basic admin software.
  • NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy and above
